Gustavo Santaolalla

Argentinean musician. Nowadays he is one of the most important producers and composers in the world. Settled in Los Angeles, his works as stars producer such as Juanes, Café Tacuba, Molotov, Bersuit, Bajofondo Tango Club (his band), Kronos Quartet, Osvaldo Golijov and many others, have sold millions of records all over the world, and have won many awards, including the Grammy for Best Latin-American Producer of the Year.
He composes music for movies, among them: Amores perros, 21 grams (González Iñarritu), which won an award at the Flaunders International Film Festival in the World Scoring Composers; The Motorcycle Diaries (Walter Salles), for which he was awarded the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards, Clarín and Cóndor de Plata Awards; North Country (Niki Caro) and Brokeback Mountain (Ang Lee), for which he was awarded the Golden Lion, at Venice’s Festival; the Golden Globe for best original song, and the Hollywood’s Academy Oscar for best soundtrack. Time magazine has selected him as one of United States’ 25th most influential figures.

Architect, designer and publishing businessman. His works on the publishing area have been sponsored by the most prestigious local and foreign organizations, and have been awarded important distinctions, such as the First Prize for Best Published Book in the Biennium.
